Chapter 18

Nobara Kugisaki lies unconscious on the ground while the Zenin sisters, Maki and Mai, argue above her. Their feud is loud and bitter.

Maki speaks first, cold and sharp.
She says Mai’s cursed technique being able to put cursed energy into objects isn’t impressive at all.

Mai fires back immediately.
She mocks Maki for having no cursed energy at all, calling it even worse.

Their argument grows harsher, but Maki suddenly stops listening. Instead, she kneels beside Nobara and asks calmly:

“Can you stand?”

Mai smirks and says Nobara won’t be getting up anytime soon.

But before anyone can react, Nobara’s eyes shoot open.

She jumps to her feet and tackles Mai straight to the ground, shocking both sisters with her sudden recovery.

The fight isn’t over and Nobara is far from done.
