Chapter 21
Junpei Yoshino sits across from Mahito deep inside a dark, hidden lair beneath Kawasaki City. The room is quiet, but the air feels heavy.
They begin talking about emotions.
Mahito says the opposite of hatred is indifference.
Junpei disagrees. He believes people aren’t that simple.
They both agree on one thing:
Humans overthink everything and often use excuses to avoid the truth.
To make his point, Mahito shows Junpei the results of his “experiments.”
In the next room, twisted human bodies lie motionless.
Some are huge and stretched.
Others are small and broken.
Mahito calmly explains he has been changing their souls, which changes their bodies. He calls it “learning.”
Junpei stares in shock.
This isn’t just theory it’s real.
And it’s horrifying.
